About James
James is a civil litigator focusing on business and employment cases based out of Godwin Dold’s Rochester, Minnesota office. Since 2005, James has represented individuals, small businesses, and large companies in commercial litigation. From Fortune 500 companies to sole proprietors to non-profits and public entities, James has created solutions for a wide variety of issues his clients face.
James is a member of the American Bar Association, a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, a member and past president of the Third District Bar Association, and a member and past president of the Olmsted County Bar Association. James volunteers his time as an ethics investigator for the Third District Bar Association, as a board member of Family Services Rochester, and as legislative committee chair for the Rochester Human Resources Association.
James received his B.A. with honors and distinction from the University of Kansas in 2002 and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2005. James is licensed to practice in Minnesota, California, and Pennsylvania state courts and is authorized to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of California, Central District of California, Eastern District of California, Southern District of California, Western District of Pennsylvania, and District of Minnesota as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits.
